The Team
Alex Hutton (BA, Guildhall Postgrad.)
A pianist since the age of 5, Hutton has worked with many of the established luminaries of the London Jazz scene including Jim Mullen, Bobby Wellins, Dave OHiggins and Gilad Altzmon, performing in major venues from Londons infamous Ronnie Scotts to the Lincoln Centre, New York. He also caught the ear of the late great Ronnie Scott himself who described him as 'a great British talent, a wonderfully natural pianist'. Huttons latest album Songs from the Seven Hills has been held to critical acclaim and met with rave reviews.
Kate Winter (BMus, MA)
South African vocalist Kate Winter has been called "One of our country's top jazz singers" performing in London clubs (Ronnie Scott's, 606 Club) and festivals around the world. Acclaimed composer, arranger and producer Richard Niles says "Not only does Kate have a beautiful voice, remarkable time and superb intonation, but her innate musicality gives her that rarest of musical accomplishments: TASTE." Time Out called her one of London's "brightest emerging jazz stars".
With a BMus in Popular Music Performance and a Masters degree in Music Industry Management and Artist Development, Kate uses her experience and knowledge in Label Management, press and PR, tour management, artist management, royalty collection/collection societies and copyright / contract law for music industry consulting and as a presenter and producer of the Jazz Show.
Lindsay Ansell (BMus)
Lindsay is the latest addition to the team, in the form of assistant broadcaster, and is a talented singer, pianist and songwriter.
She is currently in the process of completing her degree in Popular Music Performance, specialising in Vocals.
